Who is Shannon Terpstra?
Shannon received her law degree from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, where she also completed her master's degrees in Criminal and Private Law. After her studies, she started her career as a lawyer in Curacao, where she has been dedicating herself to her clients for years. With a broad legal background and a clear vision, Shannon thinks strategically in every situation.

In addition to her work as an attorney, Shannon is active on several fronts within the legal community. She writes articles for the legal journal SDU Netherlands and teaches at the law faculty of both the University of Curaçao (UoC) and the University of the Dutch Caribbean (UdC). Shannon also regularly gives guest lectures at primary and secondary schools to make legal knowledge accessible to a wide audience.
She was also a board member of the Curaçao Young Bar Association. This is an association for lawyers on the island that focuses on professional development, networking and advocacy for legal professionals. They organize educational meetings, networking activities and dedicate themselves to knowledge sharing within the legal sector.
